Well that was fast. Just four days after getting married, Nicolas Cage has filed for an annulment from his wife, Erika Koike.

According to court records obtained from Clark County District Court and viewed by Closer Weekly, the 55-year-old filed the appropriate papers needed on Wednesday, March 27, to take the first step in ending his very fresh marriage. The actor asked that a divorce be granted if an annulment was not able to be fulfilled, according to The Blast.

It was just this past Saturday, March 23, that the Con Air star, according to multiple reports, obtained a marriage license to wed Koike, his girlfriend since April 2018. While not much is known of Nicolas’ lady, we do know that she is listed as a makeup artist on her IMDB page, with her only credit coming in the 2012 short film Hankikanto. If the Oscar-winner and his wife have truly said goodbye to one another for good, it will be Nicolas’ fourth failed marriage, proving that the third nor the fourth time is a charm.

The Face/Off costar was first married to Patricia Arquette in 1995, with their divorce being finalized in 2001. Soon after, Nicolas went ahead and married Lisa Marie Presley, but they also parted ways about three months later. Nicolas’ longest marriage was to actress Alice Kim, which lasted from 2004 to 2016. They had one child together, son Kal-El, now 14. And while he didn’t say I do to ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton, the pair did have one child — Weston Coppola, 28, now a black metal singer.

It is not known yet what was the cause behind the sudden change of heart for Nicolas, nor if this will put a pause on any future marriages for now, but we do hope that whatever occurred between the two they can at least be amicable moving forward. We wish the pair nothing but the best!
