Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Reportedly Made Secret Trip to LA to Visit Doria Ragland

Even though Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been quite busy preparing for their first child and making important visits left and right, they apparently still made time to head out to Los Angeles to visit the duchess’ mom, Doria Ragland.

According to The Sun, the former actress, 37, and her husband, 34, made a secret trip to Doria’s home in LA, and it seems like the royal pair were spotted by neighbors. “Meghan is a mommy’s girl — their special mother-daughter bond hasn’t disappeared just because she’s moved to England,” one neighbor, who lives a few house down from Meghan’s mom, said.

They continued, “Meghan will always come back to Doria, this will always be her home. They are forever in touch, and Meghan has been here to stay on more than one occasion since going public with Harry.” The neighbor added, “I even saw him here once, but it’s not my place to say any more.”

While it is not known when the couple visited the yoga instructor, 62, the outlet believes it may have occurred during November. Although it remains to be seen if Doria will make a visit to London to see the birth of her first grandchild. We did recently learn that the Suits alum actually wants her mother to be her baby’s nanny.

“Doria’s going to be her child’s nanny,” a palace insider exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. “The royals were insistent that she hire someone with international credentials and highly trained in security and self-defense [like Maria Borrallo], but Meghan was having none of it.” The source added, “It’s Doria or no one. So now there’s a huge scramble within Kensington Palace staff to train her up on royal etiquette and survival techniques because this role is not just about changing nappies and singing lullabies. Doria will be entrusted with passing on very important skills to Harry and Meghan’s children.”

It makes sense that the Duchess of Sussux wants her mother to look after her child when her or Harry aren’t around, as the mom-daughter have always been quite close — there was even once a report that Doria was ready to leap to Meghan’s defense amid her alleged feud with Kate Middleton.

We just hope that Doria will be able to continue to be part of Meghan and Harry’s life!
