It seems like fans aren’t the only ones who are over the moon about Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp‘s engagement! In fact, the You’ve Got Mail actress’ son, Jack Quaid, recently revealed he is “super excited” about his mom’s future wedding.

“I couldn’t be happier for both of them,” the 26-year-old dished to Page Six at an NYC event on Sunday, April 28. “It’s amazing.” The Hunger Games actor added that “of course” he’s a fan of the “Jack and Diane” singer and admitted that he even catches some episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills so he can watch John’s daughter Teddi Mellencamp. “I’ve seen a few episodes, she’s great.”

This past November, Meg, 57, confirmed that she was engaged to the Grammy winner. To share the good news, the blonde beauty took to Instagram and posted a sweet pic of her and John, 67. They are drawn on a piece of paper with the rockstar holding his bride-to-be’s hand with one and a guitar with his other. “ENGAGED!” the When Harry Met Sally star gushed in the simple caption.

Before Meg and John got together, both Hollywood stars were previously married. In 1991, Meg tied the knot with actor Dennis Quaid, Jack’s dad. Sadly, their marriage ended in 2001. Following their divorce, the As the World Turns actress adopted Daisy True Ryan, 15, as a single mom in the mid-2000s.

ENGAGED!

As for John, he was previously married to Priscilla Esterline from 1970 to 1981, to Victoria Granucci from 1981 until 1989 and to Elaine Irwin from 1992 to 2011. Including his reality TV star daughter Teddi, 37, the “Hurts so Good” crooner is also the dad to his five kids from the three previous marriages — Michelle Mellencamp, 48, Justice Mellencamp, 34, Hed Mellencamp, 25, and Speck Mellencamp, 24.

The couple’s engagement has been a long time coming. John and Meg first began dating back in 2011 and were reportedly in a long-distance relationship for many years as she resides in NYC and John splits his time between his homes in Indiana and South Carolina. The two ended up separating in 2014 but got back together later that year. Meg and John called it quits again in 2015 but reconciled for the second time in 2017.

Now they’re engaged and it seems like everyone — including us — couldn’t be happier for them!
