Kelly Ripa Jokingly Says the Only Thing She Wants for Christmas Is Her Husband Mark Consuelos
Looks like Kelly Ripa got everything she wanted for Christmas! While celebrating the holiday, she took to Instagram to share a couple of photos of her husband, Mark Consuelos, having a great time at home. In the snaps, he adorably wore a red sweatshirt to mark the occasion and, on top of the pics, Kelly wrote, “All I want for Christmas is you.”
The TV personality shared all of the photos to her Instagram Story just two weeks after she unveiled her family’s Christmas card on Live!.
“I wanted to show you this, I wanted to give you a sneak peek,” she said on the talk show while unveiling the card. “I’m showing you this before I show my family. Quite frankly, I didn’t want them to argue with me.”
Kelly’s cohost, Ryan Seacrest, absolutely adored the card. It featured a bunch of photos of the 49-year-old beauty running into Mark’s arms while their kids — Michael, 22, Lola, 18, and Joaquin, 16 — surrounded them. “You know, every year the Christmas card is a thankless position of honor, but in our family, it’s not an honor,” she joked. “It’s an exercise in futility, it’s an exercise in just trying to manage the suffering because I just want a Christmas card photo.”
Although the photo came out vey nicely, it wasn’t Kelly’s idea to take the picture like that. It was actually the photographers who wanted to do something different.
“They said, Wouldn’t it be funny if we got a picture of you trying to take a picture of your family for your Christmas card photo, we know how much that means to you,’” she explained. “And I was like, ‘That’s not funny, that’s amazing!'”
Turns out the card came out exactly how Kelly wanted it. It was so professionally done that Ryan joked it looked like an ad for a new TV sitcom. “It looks like the advertisement for a new series coming to Primetime,” he said. “And I can’t wait to watch.”
We’re so glad Kelly and her family had a wonderful Christmas this year!
