She may have starred in Ocean’s 11 and Ocean’s 12 alongside George Clooney and Brad Pitt in 2001 and 2004, but Julia Roberts had no involvement in the 2018 all-girls spin-off Ocean’s 8 — and she’s allegedly not too happy about it.

“Julia said, ‘I haven’t seen it and I won’t be seeing it,’ and that was the end of that,” an insider, who saw Julia at a press event for Homecoming, revealed to Star in the magazine’s newest issue, on newsstands now.

The source added, “When someone else brought up Ocean’s 8, Julia’s PR person stopped them. She looked annoyed to even be asked about it.”

The movie — which premiered in June — starred Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Cate Blanchett, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, and more. However, Julia shouldn’t feel too bad — and that’s because the role almost didn’t happen for Sandra either!

In a previous interview, Sandra revealed she wouldn’t have done Ocean’s 8 if it weren’t for her eight-year-old son, Louis. “This almost didn’t happen for me because it was supposed to shoot during the summer, and then when Cate [Blanchett] wasn’t available, they said, ‘Are you willing to shift it to fall in New York?’ And I went, ‘I gotta take the kids out of school,'” the 53-year-old actress told People earlier this summer.

She continued, “Then my son said, ‘Why don’t we go look at a school and see if we find something?’ We left on Mother’s Day, day after Mother’s Day, [and] found a school. It’s all about my kids. If I could never work again, I’d be okay with it because I’d get to go home and be with my babies.” So sweet!

We’re so glad Louis helped convince his mom to do the movie because it was honestly amazing to watch. As for Julia? We certainly missed her in the flick, but perhaps they’ll reach out to her for a potential Ocean’s 9 someday? Here’s hoping!
