AwwJoanna Gaines Calls 9-Month-Old Son Crew ‘My Little Squishy’ in Super Cute Instagram Photo
It’s no surprise that Joanna Gaines has been soaking up every second of being a mom to a newborn again. Whether the mother-son duo are hanging out in business meetings or cuddling on the couch, Jo and her sweet baby boy, Crew, have created quite the bond.
While spending some quality time together, the 40-year-old took to Instagram to share an adorable pic of herself as she held 9-month-old Crew in her lap on Saturday, April 6. “My little squishy,” she captioned the snap of the two enjoying the beautiful weather outdoors as they excitedly smiled for the camera. The former Fixer Upper star also added the hashtag #plantlady.
Joanna — who is also mom to Drake, 14, Ella Rose, 12, Duke, 10, and Emmy Kay, 9 with husband Chip Gaines — isn’t the only family member whose life changed for the better when she and Chip, 44, found out they were expecting baby No. 5 last year.
“It’s so funny. They still are completely obsessed with this kid,” the Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering author dished to People last month about the relationship her children share with their new brother. “A year ago, he wasn’t in our lives. Now you’re like, ‘How?'” she said. “I think what’s so crazy about kids is by the time they hit the ground … it’s almost like we always knew he was coming, and this was his time.”
Joanna added that, although there is an obvious age gap between her four older kiddos and Crew, sons Drake and Duke and daughters Emmy Kay and Ella have been “the best” and “sweetest” at welcoming the little tot into the big family.
“[I love] just watching them,” the mom-of-five gushed. Joanna even added that her brood’s inherited love for the outdoors only makes the sibling bond stronger. “[Crew] loves being outside, so it’s not a thing where I have to ask them,” she said. “They just say, ‘Can I do this?’ ‘Of course.'”
We are obsessed with Joanna, Chip and their loving brood!
