There’s no doubt Jennifer Aniston is one of Hollywood’s most iconic actresses. Looking back on her career, the Golden Globe Award-winning star opened up about getting her start on Friends and how she has completely transformed her career since.

“I started to find my confidence when I was on Friends, for sure,” the 50-year-old beauty admitted to InStyle for the outlet’s 25th anniversary issue. “In a way, being on that show was the ultimate trust exercise. There was comfort in numbers there, so we all held each other up.”

Jen, who was just 24 years old when the beloved sitcom first hit the air in September 1994, also gushed about the incredible memories she made with her iconic costars. “I miss a lot about that time. Having a job that was absolute, pure joy,” she explained. “I miss getting to be with people I love massively and respect beyond words. So, yes, these days I’m super nostalgic. Anything can make me go, ‘Aww.'”

The Murder Mystery actress reminisced on getting her start in Hollywood at such a young age. “I pretty much grew up in this business in front of everyone,” Jen quipped. “And listen, puberty is awkward — just try and do it all publicly.”

She also opened up about the journey that Friends took her on. “When Friends began [in 1994], we were all so wide-eyed and bushy-tailed,” she said of costars Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer. “We couldn’t believe what was happening, and we had no idea what was coming.”

The blonde beauty even gushed over the throwback pic Courteney recently shared to Instagram. In the pic, the beloved cast can be seen posing for a photo on a jet before the show ever aired. “I just remember not understanding that this was my life,” she said of her iconic gig. “The level of gratitude, my god.”

The Cake actress admitted that her Friends days were just much “simpler” times. “When I think back on the ’90s, it makes me nostalgic — period,” she recalled.

We couldn’t imagine Hollywood without Jen!
