Jada Pinkett Smith has never had a problem talking about her private life, and she recently touched on her marriage with Will Smith.

In a special New Year’s Eve episode of the Facebook series, Red Table Talk, Jada, 47, opened up to her viewers, as well as her mom, Adrienne, and her daughter, Willow, about her thoughts on her wedding anniversary. Jada and Will were married on Dec. 31, 21 years ago. “It’s more of a life partnership, so it’s not steeped in that day,” Jada said of the anniversary. “We don’t really celebrate that day anymore in the sense because the context of our union is totally different.”

Jada says Will, 50, also looks at their anniversary in a different way than she does, which explains why they are often apart on New Year’s Eve. “Usually Will on New Year’s likes to be in an adventure in the world somewhere,” Jada explained. “There’s no telling where he’s going to be. And I like to be inside. I don’t want to be out in the world. He now has the freedom to go and have an awesome adventure of some kind.”

And look for the couple to be married for 21 more years, because Jada once revealed that she is not “mature enough” to have a divorce. “For me personally, I’m not mature enough to have a divorce,” the Girls Trip actress once said in a previous episode of her show. “I’m just not. I don’t think I would ever be mature enough. I don’t.” When asked why, Jada said, “Because when you have to start going in, breaking up assets, that right there…When you have to start to divide things, separate, cut off…”

“Let me tell you, that’s when the red table turns upside down and it won’t be red no more!” Jada added. Aside from Willow, Jada and Will also have a 20-year-old son named Jaden Smith. Their third child, Trey Smith, is from Will’s previous marriage to Sheree Zampino.
