They are so in love! Hugh Jackman has made no secret about the fact that he is still completely head over heels for wife Deborra-Lee Furness, as he has proven that time and time again. So, to celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary, he showcased that adoration once again.
The 50-year-old took to Instagram on Thursday, April 11, to share a funny throwback photo of him and Deborra-Lee, 63, to celebrate their long-term marriage. “Happy anniversary #mydebs #23,” the actor captioned the snapshot that shows the pair smiling with their teeth covered in what appears to be chocolate cake. Fans, of course, loved the hilarious pic and took to the comments section to express just that. “Still having fun! Congratulations to you both. It takes two!” one user said. Another person wrote, “Happy Anniversary to the best couple.” Yet another fan shared, “A toast for you, a very united couple and for many more years.”
The happy pair were married in 1996 and have two kids together — Oscar, 18, and Ava, 13. The Logan star once got very emotional while talking about the Australian actress when he was honored at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival with the Kirk Douglas Award for Excellence in Film. “You believed in me when I couldn’t,” he said in the speech. “You’ve loved me with a passion and a depth that I didn’t even know existed — and I don’t think I felt that I deserved.”
He added, “You have pushed and encouraged me when I was scared to venture out. You have smiled me into smiling. You have sung me into singing. You have loved me into loving and like everything I do in my life, I share this with you. I love you.” And Hugh knows he is quite lucky to be with Deborra-Lee, as he once revealed that the two just hit it off immediately.
“There was something that clicked between us right away,” he exclusively told Closer Weekly. “It was the feeling you get when you sense this connection that tells you this is the kind of woman you want in your life.”
