To say Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher are over the moon about the birth of their second baby is a major understatement! Just hours after the 35-year-old country music star announced the arrival of little Jacob Bryan Fisher via Instagram, proud new dad-of-two Mike, 38, also took to social media to gush about the couple’s “miracle baby.”

“Jacob Bryan Fisher! You are a gift from the Lord! The last few years has had its challenges and it makes this moment even more sweet! We didn’t know if Izzy would ever have another sibling but we learned through it all that God is in control and his timing is perfect! He is good all the time even in difficult times that are hard to understand. #grateful #miraclebaby,” Mike wrote on Instagram. The couple — who tied the knot in July 2010 — are also parents to a 3-year-old son named Isaiah Michael Fisher. Carrie was the first to announce Jacob’s birth with a sweet Instagram message on Wednesday, January 23. “Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday, [January 21] … his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle! Our hearts are so full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…” Carrie captioned the first photos of baby Jacob.

Expanding their family to include another baby wasn’t an easy road for Carrie and Mike. In September 2018, the “Before He Cheats” singer revealed she’d sadly suffered three miscarriages following Isaiah’s 2015 birth. She was also badly injured during a scary fall outside her Nashville home in late 2017 that left her with a broken wrist and 40 stitches in her face.

Despite those trying times, Carrie couldn’t have been more thrilled to announce she and Mike were expecting their second baby together. “Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond. This has just been a dream come true with [the] album and with baby news and all that stuff. We’re just so excited,” she told her fans in an August 2018 video posted to Instagram.

Congrats to Carrie, Mike and Isaiah on baby Jacob’s arrival!
