One Happy Bunch! A Complete Guide to ‘Cake Boss’ Star Buddy Valastro’s 4 Children

For years, Buddy Valastro has been entertaining viewers on TLC’s popular reality series Cake Boss, but there’s more to the baker than just the tasty treats he makes on the program. Buddy is a loving husband to wife Lisa Valastro and a great father to their four kids, Sofia, Buddy Jr., Marco and Carlo.

The baker is clearly all about his children, as he once gushed to LifeofDad.com, “I am a busy guy. As busy as I am, I still have a strong bond and relationship with my kids. I will take them when I travel.”

But even life on the road can be hard for Buddy sometimes, especially when he packs his family in an RV and cruises around America filming Buddy’s Family Vacation, which premiered in 2016. “There is fighting and screaming and some craziness,” he told the outlet. “But I wouldn’t have it [any] other way. We had a lot of fun doing it.”

At home, Buddy’s life is a little bit different. While he loves making his favorite snack with his kids — “chocolate chip cookies” — he revealed his youngsters have already mastered their baking skills. “Now they’re on to cooking,” the dad of four explained. “It is always really hard to get kids to eat, but if they cook it, they almost feel like they have to eat it.”

Buddy suffered a gruesome and debilitating accident in September 2020, where his hand was repeatedly impaled while fixing a pin setter at his home’s bowling alley. It landed him in the hospital, and he underwent five subsequent surgeries to repair the damage to his hand. He praised his family for their response to his crisis in a July 21, 2021, interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“They definitely stepped up to the plate. In times of crisis, you don’t know what people’s reactions are going to be. ‘How are we going to do this?’ ‘What are we going to do?'” the baker told ET. “We all came together, and I am so proud of my boys and thankful to my whole family.”

“My wife, with the recovery, was amazing, my kids, my sisters, my brother-in-laws,” he continued. “But most of all, the fans. The love and support you get from everyone, it means a lot.”

On Instagram, it’s not rare for Buddy to give his followers a glimpse while spending time at home with his family. In December 2020, the TV star showed off his wife and daughter’s impressive array of Christmas cookies. “‘Tis the season for homemade cookies baked by my beautiful wife, @lisavalastro4, and daughter @fiav_21!” he penned. “How many cookies [are] too many cookies?!?”

Buddy also shared a cute snapshot as he and his kids decorated cakes together in their dining room in October. “Family time is the BEST time!” he gushed in the caption.

Because Buddy always has the best time with his family, he considers his kiddos to be some of his “best friends.” Every day, the TV personality cherishes the moments that he gets to spend with Sofia, Buddy Jr., Marco and Carlo.

“I have a lot of accomplishments. I am not bragging, but I have done a lot of good stuff, but my biggest accomplishment is my kids and my family,” he marveled. “I have a special relationship with all of them.”
