Buddy Valastro Loves Baking for Wife Lisa! Get To Know the ‘Cake Boss’ Star’s Longtime Spouse

For Buddy Valastro, life is a cakewalk with his longtime love, Lisa Valastro, by his side. You know the Cake Boss star for his hit Food Network shows, as well as his talents as an American baker, but you should also be familiar with his wife of nearly 20 years. Buddy and his beloved’s decades-long romance first began when they met through family as kids — the blonde beauty’s best friend was Buddy’s second cousin, according to reports. Although the New Jersey natives were still young at the time they first crossed paths, the duo reconnected in the late 1990s while both out at a club.

By the time Lisa was 19 and Buddy was 22, the two started dating, and it wasn’t long before they were attached at the hip. The Buddy vs. Duff star and the TV personality were together for about two years before tying the knot in October 2001.

Buddy was juggling his new life as a husband while cementing his status as a prominent baker, but he and Lisa made time to start a family. Together, the adorable lovebirds became the proud parents of their eldest daughter, Sofia, and their three sons, Bartolo, Marco and Carlo.

Between traveling the country as a TV star and raising his big family, maintaining his bond with Lisa over the years hasn’t always easy. However, Buddy said he has constantly prioritized his life with his wife and their children over his Hollywood career.

“I am a busy guy. I have a lot of accomplishments,” he told Life of Dad in 2016. “I am not bragging … I have done a lot of good stuff. But my biggest accomplishment is my kids and my family.”

The Next Great Baker host noted it doesn’t hurt to have a secret to his enviable relationship with Lisa. “The key to a happy marriage or a happy wife is lots of cake!” Buddy jokingly shared with Closer in October 2019. “Her favorite is what I made in our wedding cake: chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache and fresh raspberries.”
