Get to Know ‘Christmas Vacation’ Star Beverly D’Angelo’s Twins With Acting Legend Al Pacino

If you had no idea that Beverly D’Angelo was once in a relationship with iconic actor Al Pacino, you probably won’t know that the pair actually have two kids — and it’s time you get to know them!

The National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation actress, now 67, and the Oscar winner, 79, first got together in 1997, in a relationship that would last until 2013. However, they would go on to have two children — twins Anton and Olivia, both 18. “I had a fantasy that when you have kids, you do it in a family setting,” the Vegas Vacation costar once exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. “After we’d known each other for three months, [Al] looked me in the eyes and said, ‘I want you to be the mother of my children.’ That’s all I had to hear.”

Although, the famous duo wouldn’t last. “I got pregnant at 48, delivered six weeks after I was 49, and by 51, I was looking at a landscape as a single parent,” Beverly explained. While the former pair would have their ups and downs during a custody battle, they eventually would come together in order to successfully coparent.

“The key thing is creating a new history, and moving on from whatever dissolved that relationship to the new one of co-parenting,” Beverly explained. “The most important thing I’ve learned is how vital acceptance is. We all have a desire to change things that we don’t like, but you can’t change another person. You have to accept differences and all the things that led to a breakup in a way that allows you to move forward. And out of my support system and people I know and love, I’ve created the ideal partner.”

The acting legend also has a 30-year-old daughter named Julie Marie who he shares with his ex-wife Jan Tarrant. While Al doesn’t open up a ton about his family or personal life, he did once reveal that he doesn’t feel ashamed of his mistakes.

“I’ll tell you why — out of mistakes, and I’ve made plenty, I’ve learned,” Al once explained to Closer Weekly. “Through those mistakes, I’ve met people, and my life has changed. Mistakes aren’t quite mistakes, unless you slip off a roof. Then you can’t come back.”
