They spend plenty of time with one another on The View, but Abby Huntsman says that she and Meghan McCain are actually quite close off the set — they even FaceTime!

Abby, 33, attended The Skin Cancer Foundation’s Champions for Change Gala on Thursday, October 17, and touched on many different subjects, including who from the ABC daytime talk show does she lean on. “You know all of them in different ways,” the TV personality said exclusively to Closer Weekly. “I would say Meghan. I’ve been really good friends with for a long time and we’ll FaceTime almost every night so we’re very very close.”

The mother-of-one — who also works alongside Whoopi GoldbergJoy Behar and Sunny Hostin — also revealed if the Dirty Sexy Politics author, 34, is more comfortable with the her coworkers now that she’s been at the program two years. “You know what? Meghan is who she is,” Abby explained. “What you see on the air is what you’re going to get and I think that’s what makes her so special. She doesn’t act. She’s not playing around. She’s the real deal.”

This comes after some controversial stands that John McCain‘s daughter has taken while on the show, as she’s ruffled various feathers. However, Meghan has said that she’s completely comfortable being the only conservative voice on The View. “I try to just remind myself that I’m representing 50 percent of the country,” Meghan told ET. “I’m representing a bunch of women even though I only have one chair, and it’s really important.”

“I also try to think of, as cheesy as it sounds, what [former panelist] Elisabeth Hasselbeck used to mean to me when I was young,” she continued. “I used to watch The View in college and she was really such an icon for young Republican women and I hope I’m giving that to anyone that’s watching. I know there’s people in the middle of the country that feel like they’re really happy that someone is representing them.”
