Kate Middleton, Prince William and 8-month-old George were snapped thousands of times on their official tour of New Zealand and Australia this month, but one photo stands out in the Duchess' mind as her absolute favorite.
The picture above was taken during the trio's April 9 tour stop in Wellington, New Zealand, where George engaged in his first royal duty, a playdate with 20 other babies his age.
Professional photographer Simon Woolf was the one to capture the particularly sweet moment between mother and son.

"She said it was just lovely and that it was her favorite photo of the tour,” Simon said of presenting Kate and William with a black and white version of the snapshot.
"There was a bit of a plan for a [staged] family photo," he added. "But it fell to pieces because they allowed George to sleep for an extra half-hour."
Although George was a good sport around his playmates, he clearly enjoyed his seat in mom's arms much better!
After meeting the family, Simon described Prince William to Hello! magazine as "a class act" and noted how Kate "is every bit as wonderful as he is and she has such a wonderful heart."
The photographer also told the mag he plans on sending framed copies of the adorable photo to grandfather Prince Charles and great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth!
