French actor Gerard Depardieu has always been eccentric, but the 65-year-old's latest comments about his alcohol consumption are truly outrageous!
The Life of Pi star alleged he can drink up to 14 bottles of wine per day in an interview with French film magazine, So Film, but insists he's still in perfectly good health.
In the convo, translated by The Mirror, Gerard claims he tallied how many drinks he has on a daily basis after doctors asked (It should be noted the performer reportedly underwent heart-bypass surgery in 2000).
He shared that he typically drinks out of boredom (someone get this man a job) and outlined his drinking schedule to the mag.
"In the morning, it starts at home with champagne or red wine before 10 a.m., then again champagne." The father-of-three moves on to aniseed liqueur pastis, "maybe half a bottle," followed by "food, accompanied by two bottles of wine."
The afternoon begins with "champagne, beer and more pastis at around 5 p.m., to finish off the bottle," ending with "vodka and/or whisky."

Though Gerard realizes that's a lot of alcohol, he claims he's "never totally drunk, just a little pissed" while on these binges. "All you need is a 10-minute nap and voila, a slurp of rosé wine and I feel as fresh as a daisy.”
But booze isn't the only topic to come up in the entertainer's bizarre interview. He also recalled shooting two lions while on vacation in Africa.
Calling the killings "legitimate self-defense," Gerard said he was pushing his truck after it broke down when the lions blocked his path. According to him, they wouldn't move even after he fired a warning shot.
