If you think you know everything about Today‘s new cohost, Jenna Bush Hager, then think again! Not only is the 37-year-old journalist a published author, but she was also named after someone very special in her family.

Scroll below to learn five fun facts about Jenna!

I didn’t set out to be a morning show anchor

“It wasn’t something I’d always dreamed to do,” Jenna once said, according to the NY Daily News. Jenna was originally hired by Today to do a single story about education. “But I think one of the most important things in life is to be open-minded,” she added.

I have a passion for reading

Like her mom, Laura Bush (a former school librarian), Jenna loves books. She’s even started her own book club on Today — the first selection is Tara Conklin’s novel The Last Romantics. Jenna previously said on Today, “In a world that can feel technologically obsessed, it’s fun to go back to the old-school book clubs.”

I’m a published author

Her first book, Ana’s Story: A Journey of Hope, profiled an HIV-positive 17-year-old single mother Jenna met when she was working for UNICEF in Latin America. She and sister Barbara Bush will be releasing a kids’ version of their best-selling memoir, Sisters First, in November.

I was named after my maternal grandmother

Jenna Welch, 99, lives in Midland, Texas. “She never graduated from college but never stopped learning,” her namesake granddaughter said via Instagram in November. “She taught me about every constellation in the night sky.”

I’m most grateful for my family

She’s been wed to Henry Hager, 40, since 2008, and they have two daughters: Mila, 6, and Poppy, 3. “I married a really great husband,” Jenna has said. “And the most important thing is our kids.”
