When Steve Harvey doles out relationship advice on his eponymous talk show, he has decades of experience backing him up. The TV star and family man's happily ever after has taken a while, but it seems like he has finally found his perfect match. But, did you know he has four kids from his first two marriages? Scroll down to meet them all!
Steve welcomed Karli, 35, back in 1982 with his first wife, Marcia Harvey. Karlie is a public speaker, a mother, and a wife. She married her husband, Ben Raymond in 2015, and he, too, is a motivational speaker. Their son, BJ, was born in 2016. She also has a twin sister named Brandi.
Unlike her twin sister, Karli, Brandi keeps a lot of her personal life private. The 35-year-old was a bridesmaid in her sister's 2015 wedding, however, she seemingly isn't married and doesn't have any kids of her own. However, Brandi strives to inspire women every day. She is the founder of Beyond Her, a women's wellness website.
Broderick Harvey Jr.
Steve previously welcomed his 28-year-old son with his first wife, Marcia Harvey. Broderick has a pretty large Instagram following — 36,000 to be exact — and he makes his own clothes on Need Money Not Friends. He's always sharing cute photos of his nieces and nephews on social media as well! He's not married and does not have any kids of his own yet.
The 20-year-old was born to his dad, Steve, and his second wife, Mary Lee Harvey, in July 1997. He's a photographer, philanthropist, and fashionisto. He once gushed about his passion for philanthropy. "I want to be one of the greatest, wealthiest, flyest, philanthropic men to ever live," he said. And just like his father, he also has a great sense of humor!
Steve's kids haven't always approved of his love choices. He has been married thrice now — each time to a woman with an "M" name! He was hitched to Marcia Harvey from 1980 to 1994 and Mary Shackelford from 1996 to 2005. These days, however, he’s celebrating 10 years of marriage with Marjorie Bridges, an old girlfriend of his whom he married in 2007.
"It was like being reborn," he told People of their reunion after so many years. "I messed up so many times in my life. She made all the difference. When you’re happy at home, you can make a lot of things happen."
Less excited, however, were these lovebirds’ children. Marjorie also has children from a prior marriage: Morgan, Jason, and Lori, so their blended family makes seven kids in total!
"I said, 'Look, you don’t like it? Deal with it. I don’t need y’all’s permission,'" Steve once said. "When you’re dealing with a blended family, everyone is coming from a place of broken," Marjorie added. "We knew this was right. But I just told them, 'Everyone is included. Everyone has access to their parents. Whatever you didn’t have before, don’t let that interfere with what you can have now.'" She concluded, "Now, we’re Mom and Dad to everybody."
Steve previously gushed over how much he loves being a father and grandfather to In Touch Weekly. "When I see my kids and grandkids getting to do and see things in different parts of the world, it makes it all worth it," he said, before sharing the coolest thing he's ever done with his children. "I took my kids to South Africa. Every person should go see Africa before they die. It’s that breathtaking."
Sweetly enough, Steve really works hard at his career — specifically for his kids. "I’ve got the same 24 hours as everybody else, but I have a philosophy: I spend all of my time building my dream, so when I get some time of I can live my dream," he shared. "I want my kids and their kids to have things that I didn’t."
