Since welcoming their first royal child, son Archie Harrison, on May 6, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made it pretty clear that they want to do things their own way. On Saturday, July 6, the royal couple threw their little bundle of joy a christening at the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Although royal christenings aren’t usually kept hidden from the public, “[Queen Elizabeth] accepted Harry and Meghan’s decision to keep the event private,” a royal source recently shared with Us Weekly. The insider, however, added that Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly “weren’t happy about it.”

In fact, the source insisted that the Duke of Cambridge doesn’t even agree with how brother Harry, 34, and sister-in-law Meghan, 37, are handling their son’s privacy. “William thinks his brother is going overboard keeping Archie out of the spotlight,” the insider dished about him to the outlet, adding that the royal “blames Meghan” for this. Yikes!

Even though this could’ve caused a royal rift between the two couples, William and Kate still joined Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and the former Suits star’s mom, Doria Ragland, to celebrate the exciting milestone. The royal family members also posed for a family portrait that was shared on social media following the baby’s private event.

“This morning, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was christened in the Private Chapel at Windsor Castle at an intimate service officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby,” began the caption alongside the snaps. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son. They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment.” Aww!

Although fans would love every chance possible to see Archie, the babe’s privacy is very important for Meg and Harry. “It’s all part of wanting the most normal family environment for Archie,” a separate source recently told Us Weekly.

We hope to see the Sussex family out and about again soon!
