It looks like Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may be ready to say bye-bye to the grandiose halls of Kensington Palace and say hello to the simple life! With the birth of their first child expected to happen in spring 2019, Harry and Meghan are already planning for the future — and their future involves peace and quiet. Harry and Meghan plan to raise their kids outside the city and “in the country,” a source revealed to Us Weekly.

After news of Meghan’s pregnancy practically broke the internet on Monday, royal fans have been trying to dig up as much information on how the beloved Harry and Meghan will be raising their growing family. You’re probably wondering why the royal couple would ever want to leave their comfortable abode on Kensington Palace grounds, which includes living next door to Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their three children. But the source reveals that Meghan and Harry may want to raise their children in the country because “no one bothers them there.” Harry and Meghan supposedly prefer their rented $5.4 million home in the Cotswolds, about two hours outside of London, and are “excited to raise children in the country.”

It looks like Meghan and Harry may be following in William and Kate’s footsteps. If you can recall, William and Kate took to the country hills when it was time to raise their own kids. Though the couple and their three children, Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 5 months, recently moved back to Kensington Palace, William and Kate spent the majority of their time raising their family in their country home in Norfolk. Because of this, it’s not surprising that Meghan and Harry may have decided to take a break from the bustling city to raise their first child.

We’re sure Kate and William are giving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a lot of parenting advice for their little bundle of joy that will be arriving before we know it. Even though Meghan and Harry may be ditching their Nottingham Cottage for the time being, we hope to see some Sussex/Cambridge country-side playdates!
