It’s been a whirlwind of emotion since the world found out about Meghan Markle‘s pregnancy with Prince Harry on Monday, Oct. 15, and already, the pair has received their first baby gift. While kicking off their Australian tour, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were presented with an adorable stuffed animal kangaroo with its joey tucked into its pouch.

Excited about the lovely gesture, Meghan told the public and officials it’s their “first baby gift!” Along with the cute toy, the royal couple also received a pair of baby Uggs. The best part of this exchange was their reactions. Meghan, as always, appeared to be happy and appreciative, while Prince Harry poked fun and jokingly pretended to not want to give the Uggs up when he was approached.

This is the first time the pair publicly acknowledged their pregnancy since Kensington Palace announced the great news early Monday morning. This trip is also equally exciting for Meghan considering this is her first time to Australia. “I’m very excited to show her this incredible country of yours,” Harry said during his speech at a reception.

Harry also teased the baby’s gender and said they “couldn’t think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, be it a boy or a girl.”

While the couple isn’t due until spring of 2019, we can imagine they’re taking advantage of the time they have before they become a family of three and begin to unwind as it gets closer to Meghan’s due date. The parents-to-be have been keeping busy during their time in Sydney with public events and zoo visits. During their two-week trip, the two are also expected to visit New Zealand, the Kingdom of Tonga, and Fiji next, where their primary focus mostly will involve youth leadership and environmental and conservation efforts. In the meantime, we can’t wait to see what other baby-related teasers they’ll drop next!
