Pierce Brosnan and Wife Keely Smith at 'The Last Ship' Premiere

Always by his side! Pierce Brosnan certainly looks like a man in love, as he recently arrived at a big red carpet event alongside his longtime wife, Keely.

On Wednesday, January 22, the 66-year-old was seen posing for photos with his love, 56, at the opening night of The Last Ship musical in Los Angeles. The former James Bond was looking quite classy, as he wore a gray, three-piece suit, topped off with a white shirt and brown shoes. He of course also showed off his incredible silver goatee. As for Keely, she went the plunging black dress route, matched with head-turning earrings.

The pair tied the knot in 2001. They share two kids — sons Dylan, 23, Paris. Their marriage came 10 years after Pierce lost his first wife, Cassandra, to ovarian cancer — the same disease that would also take his daughter Charlotte’s life.

“I don’t look at the cup as half full, believe me,” the actor once told Esquire. “The dark, melancholy Irish black dog sits beside me from time to time.” Pierce has also been open in the past of how much cancer has impacted his life.

“I have sat at bedsides and seen the suffering and despair firsthand and it astounds me that we still do not have a cure for this pernicious disease,” the Hollywood star exclusively told Closer Weekly at an Ovarian Cancer Research Fund charity event. “The night comes with many emotions for me. I would like to see this disease banished from our society,” he continued. “I would like to see the cure for ovarian cancer as a man who lost a wife and a daughter to the disease.”

As for Keely, Pierce explained, “I had a great marriage which sadly had its own ending, and I was lucky enough to find love again. We were meant to find each other. I thank God for her every day.”
