She’s just a normal mom to them! Kelly Clarkson may be one of the biggest stars on the planet, but at home she’s a typical parent, as she revealed that her youngest son Remington isn’t even aware of the megastar his mother is.

“I think they look at me as ‘Mom,’ so they don’t really even [think about it],” the 37-year-old told People. “[Remington] has no idea. They’re just very normal. We’re not like, in the scene, ever.” However, while the singer’s 3-year-old son shrugs his shoulders at his mother’s fame, Kelly’s daughter River Rose, 4, is all about the flash, as she may even be following in her footsteps.

“Our little girl loves dancing and gymnastics. She wants to dance, that’s her big thing. And she wants to sing like mommy, which I’m going to try and steer her clear of,” the American Idol alum joked to the outlet. Although, while the performer’s eldest daughter may want to be a star, Kelly once revealed that she doesn’t want her kids to take the Hollywood route.

“I hope they are teachers or doctors or something,” she once said to reporters while at a press conference after The Voice‘s Season 15 finale. “It’s a hard industry. … I seriously hope they are tone deaf,” she joked.

The TV personality shares her two youngsters with her husband, Brandon Blackstock, 42. She is also a stepmother to his two kids, Savannah and Seth, from a previous relationship.

Kelly isn’t the only famous face in the family, though — her mother-in-law happens to be country star Reba McEntire. “Sometimes when we meet our heroes, it doesn’t always pan out how you hope,” Kelly once said of her children’s grandmother at the 41st annual Kennedy Center Honors on December 2.

“But meeting Reba — being friends with her, and eventually becoming family — has been one of the highlights of my life, truly,” she continued. “So thank you so much for listening to me vent as an artist. Thank you so much for comforting me on the phone through my tears, like a friend. And thank you for being a really rad grandma for my kids.”
