What a look! Katie Holmes made sure she turned heads at the American Australian Association Arts Awards, as she wore quite the white gown.

On Thursday, January 30, the 41-year-old attended the special event in New York City — and she looked fantastic in a one-shoulder white ruched gown. She matched that all up in black strap stilettos. The actress — who put her hair up in a top bun — also held a long black jacket in her arms, as she posed for photographers.

The Dawson’s Creek alum showed up alone to the awards show, as she did not have her 13-year-old daughter Suri by her side. However, Katie has made it clear that she is all about her only child. especially since they’ve had an incredible bond for years. “I was happy to become a mom in my twenties,” the Hollywood star once gushed during an interview with Elle U.K.. “It’s been nice that our ages fit.”

“How do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match,” Katie added. “We kind of grew up together.” However, the A-lister also revealed that she worries now that Suri is getting older.

“Doesn’t every parent?” she asked the outlet. “But, yes, of course, I’m worried. There is so much bad news and hate and things that don’t make sense … The atmosphere around the world is … terrifying.”

Katie has gushed about her daughter before — she once revealed just how grateful she feels to be a mother. “I feel very blessed to have such a special daughter,” she told Shape. “Being her mom is absolutely the greatest gift and privilege.” The sweet duo love hanging out with each other — they even workout together!

“Sometimes I work out with my daughter. It just depends on the day,” Katie explained. “We have our routines, and occasionally they overlap. But I don’t force her to work out with me because I know that’s lame.” We know that Katie had Suri on her mind throughout the night!
