Prince William and Kate Middleton Rekindle Their Romance in Mustique on First Trip as a Family-of-Five!
It’s been a busy few months for Kate Middleton and Prince William and there’s no better way to relax than going on vacation! So, according to Life & Style, William recently took Kate and their three kids on vacation to Mustique— a private island in the Caribbean archipelago nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines — to show the Duchess and mom-of-three how much he appreciates her.
“Kate has had a busy few months, and William wanted to go somewhere where his wife could completely switch off: Mustique,” an insider revealed in the magazine’s latest issue, on newsstands now. “With its clear blue water and white sandy beaches, Mustique is one of Kate’s favorite destinations. And, for their first getaway as a family-of-five, William made sure to spare no expense!”
To ensure Kate didn’t have to worry about their kids — Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and three-month-old Prince Louis — bugging other passengers on a commercial flight, William had them travel by private jet for their lavish holiday. According to Life & Style, the cost of the family’s flight and their vacation security cost the royal family around $1 million.
Since Kate and William’s eldest son George rang in his fifth birthday on July 22 while on the Cambridges’ family trip, the proud parents sweetly showered their little prince with love while in the Caribbean.
“They had an early party in London, but Kate flew out a huge cake and lots of balloons to celebrate his actual birthday in Mustique,” the insider said. “William and Kate don’t usually spoil their kids, but to mark George’s fifth birthday they really went all-out, surprising him with gifts to play with while on vacation.”
William also made sure the family’s accommodations were nothing short of fabulous by renting out a $40,000 villa with six bedrooms, a full-time staff, and a 60-foot pool that Charlotte loved swimming in.
Kate cutely documented the whole vaca on camera and took snaps of her kids making paintings for Queen Elizabeth. Even though Kate loved spending time with her children on the trip, William also brought their beloved royal nanny, Maria Borrallo, along with so he could spend some quality one-on-one time with his wife.
“They enjoyed couples massages, walks along the beach, and romantic candlelit dinners,” the insider revealed, adding that the trip was exactly what the royal couple needed. “Prior to Mustique, William and Kate were barely seeing each other due to William’s royal duties, so this trip definitely helped restrengthen their bond.”
George and Charlotte adorably loved the holiday so much that they never wanted to go back to England! “The whole family had such an amazing time in Mustique that Kate and William are looking at buying their own multi-million dollar home on the island so they can go more frequently,” the insider added. We can’t wait to hear about the royal family’s next fabulous vacation!
