Poor Jonathan Scott! The Property Brothers star split from his girlfriend of two years, Jacinta Kuznetsov, back in April, and now, seven months after their split, she’s already engaged to another man.
“We have been best friends for years,” the former Property Brothers producer, 30, told Us Weekly of her fiancé, bar owner and shark advocate Will Allen. “We went to the spot we met six years ago and at midnight, put a quote onto the sidewalk to remind people to love each other more. He then proposed.”

“First — if you are in love — that’s a good thing — that’s about the best thing that can happen to anyone. Don’t let anyone make it small or light to you. Second — There are several kinds of love. One is a selfish, mean, grasping, egotistical thing which uses love for self-importance. This is the ugly and crippling kind. The other is an outpouring of everything good in you — of kindness and consideration and respect — not only the social respect of manners but the greater respect which is recognition of another person as unique and valuable. The first kind can make you sick and small and weak but the second can release in you strength, and courage and goodness and even wisdom you didn’t know you had.” Thank you for your friendship for six years, my love. I am grateful we figured it all out. And thank you for asking me to be your bff forever 💍 #yesyesyes To read the full Steinbeck quote and instantly feel inspired, click the link in bio 🔝
Jacinta also took to Instagram to share a selfie of the two with a sweet message. “Thank you for your friendship for six years, my love. I am grateful we figured it all out. And thank you for asking me to be your BFF forever 💍 #yesyesyes,” she wrote on the social media platform.
Jonathan, 40, previously took to social media in April to announce their breakup — and ensured fans it was an amicable split. “When I met Jacinta in the fall of 2015, I met somebody kind and courageous and a champion for human/animal rights,” he wrote at the time. “We grew to respect each other fiercely and know that will remain unchanged for the rest of our lives. Sometimes life takes you on unexpected paths and those paths aren’t always in the same direction. There’s no drama or negativity; no jealousy or hate. Not even sadness or sorrow. Our memories are filled with joy and we will continue to advocate for each other as friends wherever we go.”
But although the reality star has said he “wishes Jacinta the very best always,” according to In Touch, he feels “defeated” considering this is his second heartbreak (he previously went through a nasty divorce with his ex-wife, airline-crew scheduler Kelsy Ully, a few years ago). “He’s got to feel defeated again knowing his former girlfriend is with a guy who was right under Jonathan’s nose the entire time,” a source told the news outlet.
