It’s only been a little over four months since Joanna Gaines and Chip Gaines welcomed their fifth child, Crew, into their family. But as far as baby No. 6, the Fixer Upper couple says they are not ruling out the possibility. “I think we have to have another one because I’m particular about the only child thing,” Chip told People. “Crew needs a sister to manage this whole thing out. Don’t be surprised if No. 6 is in the cards!”

The HGTV alums Joanna, 40, and Chip, 43, are parents to Drake, 13, Ella, 12, Duke, 9, and Emmie, 8, and now Crew. There is an obvious age gap between Crew and his older siblings, and that’s because the couple never planned on having a fifth child. In another interview with People back in May, Joanna admitted that getting pregnant was a complete — but pleasant — surprise.

“I had been feeling a little emotional and crazy and thought, ‘Wow, this isn’t me,'” the mom-of-five revealed. “Then all of a sudden I realized, ‘Hey, I remember this.’ When I saw the results of the test, my jaw dropped. Chip was in the driveway about to leave when I called him back and said, ‘We’re pregnant!’ He was so excited. We’re both just so excited.”

The only thing making her fifth pregnancy sweeter was having the support of her four children at home. Joanna gushed to Life & Style about finding out she was pregnant again and how her kids reacted to the news. “The best thing about all of this is the excitement that my kids have shown for their new baby brother,” she said at the time.

The joy that newborn baby Crew gives Joanna brings back the sweet memories of being pregnant and giving birth. Though the couple is considering baby No. 6, Joanna has some reservations. In her fall issue of The Magnolia Journal, the lifestyle guru admitted that being pregnant with Crew was much harder than her four previous pregnancies.

“I am 40, and pregnancy this time was different,” she admitted. “I have always really enjoyed being pregnant — I tend to feel my best during those nine months. This time I felt a little more worn out than usual.”

Even though Joanna’s pregnancy was much harder and more exhausting than the other times around, the new design book author has been feeling immensely blessed since welcoming Crew in June — hence the reason why we shouldn’t rule out the stakes of the brown-haired beauty having another little one. “That’s what I love about life. It’s these surprises, and at first, you sit there and go, ‘How does that fit?’ And now that it’s all happened I can’t imagine life any other way. I’ve never been so happy.”
