What a year! Eva Longoria is opening up about being mama to her first and only son, Santiago Bastón. While attending an event in Malibu, California, on Saturday, July 27, the gorgeous Grand Hotel star, 44, didn’t hold back when discussing the tough realities of being a parent.

When asked about the most tumultuous parts of parenthood, she told Us Weekly, “Not sleeping when I was breast-feeding. Just being awake every three hours,” Eva explained. “That was exhausting, but so rewarding in its own way.”

Eva — who welcomed baby Santi with husband José Bastòn in June 2018 — also dished some of her mini-me’s latest milestones. “He is saying ‘Mama’ and ‘Papa’ and he’s standing,” the proud mother of one gushed. “He’s not walking yet, but he’s standing. He just has such a personality.” Aww!

Although the Desperate Housewives alum is over the moon about being a mom, she revealed to the outlet that expanding their brood is not in the cards “right now” for her and her businessman husband. The couple — who celebrated baby Santi’s first birthday with a trip to Disneyland in late June — is having the best time soaking up the early days while Santi is the only little one running around.

Being such an amazing mama may look effortless to her, but the Eva’s Kitchen: Cooking with Love for Family and Friends author once said that Santi makes her job super easy. “He’s always with me,” she gushed to Us this past December. Eva even dished that Santi is such a good boy, he’s even been around while filming the live-action version of Dora the Explorer and directing Black-ish.”

The Dora and the Lost City of Gold star said being able to blend motherhood and work has been one of the greatest things for her strong bond with the handsome little boy. “I’m really grateful,” she expressed. “I get to take Santiago to work every day.”

Although Eva said she and Jose aren’t suffering from symptoms of baby fever, we wouldn’t be surprised if baby Santi changed their mind!
