Eva Longoria gave birth to her son, Santiago Enrique Bastón, six months ago but the actress has no intention of being away from her little boy just yet, especially when he doesn’t give her any trouble.

“He’s always with me,” the 43-year-old told Us Weekly in the magazine’s latest issue, adding that Santi is even around while she films the live-action version of Dora the Explorer and directing Black-ish. “The great thing about the work I do is that I’m able to do that. I’m really grateful. I get to take Santiago to work every day,” Eva, who is married to Jose Bastón, 50, said.

The new mom also revealed that she is all about motherhood. “It’s amazing. Every cliché has come true, but it’s wonderful. I’m really lucky to have such a good boy,” Eva said. Santi is Eva’s first child but it is her husband’s forth, so Jose has plenty of experience when it comes to raising kids. “He’s an amazing father to his three older children [from his previous marriage to Natalia Esperón], so I knew that he’d be amazing with Santi,” Eva told the outlet.

But even though Eva takes Santi everywhere she goes, that does not mean that she isn’t trying to find time to get back into her workout routine. Eva recently told Us WeeklyI really gave my body time to adjust to postpartum and post-pregnancy. You know, it had a baby! It created a human life, so I really wasn’t too hard about getting back into shape. Now I’m working out a lot more and watching what I eat. I’m barely starting to get back into it. My workouts now are more weight training. Very serious weight training.” But Eva did admit that she “still loves yoga.”

Aside from filming Dora the Explorer, Eva has just wrapped up the film All-Star Weekend alongside Benicio Del Toro and Robert Downey Jr. We’ll wait and see if Santi makes an appearance.
