Even though Hollywood couple Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are big time actors, don’t expect them to push their children to go the same career route they did.

Emily, 35, spoke to ET at Variety‘s annual brunch at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, and she revealed that she has strong feelings about her kids, 4-year-old Hazel and 2-year-old Violet, possibly becoming actors themselves. “I don’t know if I’m all about encouraging my children to be actors… people have a hard time in the industry,” the Mary Poppins Returns star said. “So I think I feel unfathomably lucky that it has been kind to me, but I would worry for them.”

Emily does go on to add that if her kids decided to become actors they would one-up her for sure. “But if they want to do it, god, they would probably be so much better than me!” Emily joked. “Honestly, I look at them sometimes and say, ‘She is going to be great!'”

Emily, who has been married to John, 39, since 2010, are obviously all about putting their family first. John once told People that being with his family “is not a job or a duty, it’s something I just can’t wait to do. I can’t wait to get back to them. We always make time to see each other.” John added, “We have been working a lot this year and we feel so blessed, but at the same time our kids come first and being together comes first.” Emily agreed with her husband, as she added: “Family is the foundation for why we are able to go off and have fun and have these incredible experiences.”

The pair had quite the 2018, with Mary Poppins Returns and A Quiet Place proving to be big time hits. But by the sound of it it’s pretty clear they want their biggest success story to be their children.
