Hitting 100,000 followers on Instagram has Donny Osmond feeling so grateful! The former teen idol took to social media on Friday, January 25 to give a sweet shout-out to his fans for helping him reach a milestone number of followers on the photo-sharing site Instagram.

“THANK YOU to all 100K of you following along with me here on Instagram,” the 61-year-old wrote in the caption of a Boomerang video he shared of himself eating 100K!-shaped doughnuts out of a box in his kitchen. “I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again … I have the best fans in the world!” Take a look at Donny’s post below and be sure to press play to watch the Boomerang!

Donny’s many fans were both happy and excited to congratulate the star on his fun social media accomplishment. “We have one of the best artists in the world. Not only are you a great artist, you are a great person,” one fan wrote in the comments section. Others didn’t hesitate to joke around with the “I’ll Make A Man Out Of You” singer. “Congratulations, Donny you deserve it. I doughnut believe you’re finally at 100K followers,” another person quipped.

The news of Donny’s rising social media following comes during an exciting few weeks for the performer. Though Donny has already had his fair share of difficulties this new year — including undergoing shoulder surgery and being in a car accident — the Donny & Marie star revealed on January 7 that he has new music in the works nearly 50 years after the release of his first solo album.

“I’m excited to let you in on a little secret. I’ve officially started working on my 62nd album!” Donny wrote in a recent Instagram post to his fans. “I’ll keep you posted throughout the year as I continue creating it, but I have a feeling you’re going to love it.”

Donny’s followers were over-the-moon when they heard about his upcoming music. Rightfully so, many also speculated that new music might mean he’s going on a new tour, too. “Loving the sound of a new album. Very exciting. New Album … New Tour? Forever hopeful,” one person commented.

But as of right now, it seems like the only thing Donny is focused on is recuperating from his shoulder surgery. “Turns out dancing accidents aren’t so convenient after all,” the handsome hunk wrote in the caption of a photo of himself wearing an arm sling on January 4. “I’m home after a successful shoulder surgery and settling in for some serious #RestandRecovery.” Feel better, Donny!
