Poor guy! It’s been a rough start to 2019 for The Osmonds so far, as this time around Donny Osmond revealed that he recently underwent surgery for a busted shoulder.

The 61-year-old entertainer took it to Instagram to share a photo of himself resting at home with an arm sling. According to Donny, he injured himself while…you guessed it, dancing. And that may come as a surprise since Donny actually won season nine of Dancing with the Stars. Check out the photo that Donny shared below!

“Turns out dancing accidents aren’t so convenient after all,” Donny wrote in the caption. “I’m home after a successful shoulder surgery and settling in for some serious #RestandRecovery. My only complaint about the day: my doctor gave me the cold shoulder.” Well it’s pretty obvious the former teen idol has a sense of humor about the situation. In fact, Donny happened to take a short video of himself in the hospital. Let’s just say he had a message for the surgeon.

“We should all be glad I’m the patient, not the surgeon. #newyear #newshoulder,” Donny joked in the caption. No details yet as to how poor Donny suffered the injury, but he and his sister, Marie Osmond have been starring in the show titled Donny & Marie in Las Vegas, which features a lot of dancing, so perhaps that is the culprit.

News of Donny’s surgery comes after his younger brother, Jimmy Osmond, suffered a stroke, and after his older brother, Tom, underwent quadruple bi-pass heart surgery. Marie recently spoke to Closer Weekly about Tom, saying, “He’s a miracle,” and added that she’s grateful the original Osmond brothers could reunite for her Hawaii birthday concert on Saturday, Oct. 13. “We’re not getting any younger! So to honor my brothers for being the original four Osmonds, and to spend time with my oldest brothers [Virl, 73, and Tom] who were born deaf [makes me happy],” Marie said.

Here’s hoping all the Osmond brothers can get back to being completely healthy soon.
