Oh no! President Donald Trump‘s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been destroyed… again. Police say a man destroyed the monument to pieces with a pickax the morning of Wednesday, July 25, according to The Blast.

“Multiple people — including police— tell me a man walked up with a guitar case and pulled out the pickaxe. Then, it’s believed, he called police himself to report it but left the scene before they got here. Now, he’s nowhere to be found,” said NBC reporter Jonathan Gonzalez.

It’s also been reported by TMZ that the man has turned himself in to the LAPD following the incident.

One witness, Patricia Cox, told KCAL/KCBS, “I just seen a guy going to town on, I guess, the ground or whatever, she said. “I didn’t know what was going on.”

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce also released a statement regarding the incident sharing that they plan to work with police to “prosecute to the full extent of the law.”

“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees,” Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, shared. “When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways than to vandalize a California State landmark. Our democracy is based on respect for the law. People can make a difference by voting and not destroying public property.”

“The Hollywood Historic Trust will repair the star immediately but requires several days of seasoning before it is polished. During that time, it will be covered to protect it,” he continued.

This isn’t the first time Donald’s star has been vandalized. Aside from stars like George Lopez fake peeing on it, in 2016, a man named James Otis destroyed the star before the election.

The 72-year-old was given the star for his previous work on the reality show The Apprentice. Donald has not yet tweeted on this matter — but we’ll keep an eye out.
