It seems another Trump family member is getting into politics!

According to a new report, Donald Trump Jr. may want to run for governor of New York following his father Donald Trump's appointment of President of the US.

"Don Jr. said he is interested in running for office, such as governor of New York, but the position of mayor of New York would be less interesting to him," a source told Page Six on Wednesday, April 5.

The eyewitness added that Don, 39, would like to start a political career but is not interested in being a senator or congressman.

The father-of-five additionally revealed his dad's 2016 presidential run inspired him to consider a political future for himself as well. "Going back to doing [business] deals is boring after 18 months. The politics bug bit me," he allegedly said.

Shortly after his presidential win, Donald Sr. named Don and son Eric Trump, 33, heads of the Trump Organization.

Following the rumors of Don's potential run for governor, a Trump family source released the following statement: "Don [Jr.] has no intentions of running for political office at this time… [He] is totally focused on running the Trump Organization with his brother."
