A baby changes everything! Diane Kruger gave birth to her first child with actor Norman Reedus back in early November, but the actress now admits that her mind wasn’t on kids before her own came along.

“For a long time, the desire for a child didn’t preoccupy me,” the 42-year-old said during an interview with French magazine Madame Figaro. “I had my ways. I was fine without one. In short, I didn’t feel absolutely ready. Life ensured my daughter arrived at the right time. It was a surprise, and she is beautiful.”

While this is the National Treasure star’s first baby, it isn’t for the Walking Dead star. Norman, 50, shares a 19-year-old son, Mingus Lucien, with ex Helena Christensen.

While she always had a mindset that she was completely OK without kids, once she gave birth to her daughter she realized that taking time off from work to spend time with her baby was vital.

“I worked during my pregnancy and, when I finally stopped, I felt serenity. I didn’t feel silly missing a role,” she explained. “Today, only my daughter counts. Not sleeping for 24 hours doesn’t matter to me, traveling with suitcases and suitcases and more suitcases doesn’t bother me at all because for the moment, she is well. I’ve chosen to give myself a break of six months to enjoy her.”

Diane isn’t the only one gushing about her child, though. “She’s kind of rolling all over the floor like a drunk. It’s kind of awesome,” Norman recently gushed, referring to his daughter’s latest milestone. “I just love it. She’s really grounding and it’s a really beautiful thing that’s going on in my life right now, I have to say.”

The Boondock Saints star even took to Instagram on Christmas Eve to share a beautiful photo of his second child. “A lot to be thankful for this year. This one especially,” he captioned the photo. “Love u Diane Mingus Helena. Happy family.”

Seems like we have quite the lovely family!
