So much love! Cindy Crawford is getting plenty of birthday wishes sent her way today, but we know that the one from her daughter, Kaia Gerber, will be a message the supermodel won’t forget anytime soon.

Kaia, 18, took to Instagram on Thursday, February 20, in order to praise her famous mom on her 54th birthday. “Happy birthday to the woman I’m lucky enough to call my best friend. I love you mom,” she wrote alongside a black and photo of Cindy pretending to lick the Hollywood sign. People were loving the post, as they took to the comments section to respond.

“I remember being little and telling everyone I share a birthday with @cindycrawford.  I felt so special! Lol happy birthday to us,” one fan gushed. Another added, “The resemblance is insane! Happy Birthday! Wish we would all age as gracefully as you are!!”

The Fair Game actress shares her youngest child, as well as son Presley, 20, with her longtime husband, Rande Gerber. Cindy’s kids have also gone the same career route as she did, a decision that the businesswoman is completely okay with. “I had no trepidation at all about saying yes to Kaia,” the star revealed to the audience while at “Their Lives in Pictures” panel at Vogue’s Forces of Fashion Summit in New York City, on October 10. “I felt comfortable and I was like, ‘Go for it, have fun and I’m always here if you have a question.'”

“By the time Kaia started, she was pretty well-versed in designers and young photographers,” she continued. “She was prepared.” However, even if Cindy didn’t want her only daughter to walk the runway, she couldn’t exactly keep her from following her passion.

“It was a good thing that she couldn’t work on the runway until she was 16. There are laws about that. After that I couldn’t really hold her back,” Cindy once admitted to Net-A-Porter during an interview. “You hope that all of the advice and guidance and role modeling that you did sticks. That’s the stage of parenting when you think, ‘OK, hope you can fly.'”
