While Samuel Affleck has his parents Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner as role models, the little one also sees his older sisters Violet and Seraphina as important people in his life.

“He looks up to his older sisters and has a unique bond with Seraphina,” an insider told In Touch. “The two of them spend hours playing together. They squabble at times like all siblings, but generally speaking, they get on.”

The famous ex-pair — who split in 2018 after being married 13 years — share Violet, 14, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 4. The duo’s eldest child sometimes finds herself being a third parent. “Violet’s extremely protective of Seraphina and Samuel and really watches out for her siblings,” the source told the outlet. “She’s extremely mature for her age.” The trio of kids are also quite humble, even though their folks are very successful and famous.

“Despite everything Ben and Jen have been through, the kids couldn’t be more grounded,” a source close to the former couple exclusively revealed to Closer Weekly. “Violet, Seraphina and Samuel are so well-behaved and polite. … It’s important to Ben and Jen to teach them the value of money.”

“While Ben and Jen are Hollywood royalty, they’re determined to give their brood a normal, stable upbringing,” the insider added. “The kids are lucky enough to grow up in luxury surroundings, but aren’t overly spoiled.” It also helps that the Hollywood duo has been all about coparenting as a team.

“She’s wonderful,” the Justice League actor said during an appearance on Today. “I’m lucky [my kids have] got a great mom, and she helps out a great deal with making sure we coparent in as good a way as possible.”

“Somebody’s the mother of your kids, they’re going to be the most important, central part of your life, and that’s good,” the A-lister continued, noting his role as a father too. “Dads are so important to kids, and it’s our responsibility to be there for them, and to be present, to be mindful, to be attentive, to be part of their lives, to be as in it as moms. That’s really the central preoccupation in my life,” he confessed. “It’s what makes me happy and the rest of the stuff kind of follows.”

What a family!
