Alex Trebek Spotted at Medical Center After Revealing Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis
He’s getting the help he needs! Alex Trebek was seen arriving at a medical center in Beverly Hills on Friday, March 8 — just days after revealing that he’s been diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. The Jeopardy! host wore his glasses around his neck and his denim shirt buttoned halfway up.
Although he’s going to be in for a really tough fight, a friend of the 78-year-old TV icon recently told Closer Weekly Alex is “hopeful” he’s going to get through this. They dished: “He always says, ‘No matter what, I power through.’ He really is hopeful. He’s got all the help and the care money can buy.”

“Just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week I was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer,” Alex said in the March 6 social media video in which he first announced that he was battling the disease. “Normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this and I’m going to keep working. And with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease.”
