Everybody currently has Prince Harry fever thanks to his impending wedding to Suits actress Meghan Markle, but we’d like to share this PSA: Prince William is equally as brilliant, and we shouldn’t forget that! The father-of-two was joined by his wife Kate Middleton at this year’s Royal Variety Performance. The event, which took place at London’s Palladium Theatre on Nov. 24, aired on British TV earlier this week. And it revealed how funny the future king really is — apparently, he likes galloping!

We all know the Duke of Cambridge is a wickedly good polo player, so the very sweet young cast of Annie decided to put him to the test. One little girl was instructed by the evening’s host Miranda Hart to ask the royal to gallop (yes, you read that correctly).

For those who aren’t familiar with Miranda, the British comedian famously starred in a self-titled sitcom, where she infamously would gallop.

A nod to her show, the young girl asked William, “Please sir, will you gallop with us?” Much to everyone’s delight, including the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, Wills got up and showed the crowd his best trot! The blushing royal couldn’t contain his laughter, and neither could the event’s audience and viewers at home. Watch the video below to see Prince William gallop!

Fans were quick to salute Prince George’s dad. “Prince William galloping is one of the best things I’ve ever seen,” one person mused. Another gushed, “Miranda Hart got Prince William to gallop. My life is now complete!” The hilarious skit makes one thing certain, gone are the days of the British stiff upper lip!
