Prince William and Prince Harry Attend Premiere for Upcoming ‘Star Wars’ Movie, Seemingly Prove They’ll Be in It

This is so cool! Prince William and Prince Harry seemingly confirmed that they will make a cameo in the upcoming Star Wars film, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, when they attended the movie’s London premiere on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Will, 35, and Harry, 33, were the last to arrive at the star-studded event, about two hours after the premiere began. They were soon greeted by droid character BB-8, who even conjured up a bow for the brothers.

They later joined fellow co-stars Oscar Isaac, Gwendoline Christie, Daisy Ridley, and Mark Hamill on the red carpet. Kare Middleton and Meghan Markle sadly did not attend the glittering event.

In a touching moment, the brothers were given their own Stormtrooper helmets by two young fans Lily Chambers, 12, and Eloisa Lerner, 8, whose parents work as Disney executives. “Wow. Should I put this on?” William remarked.

Back in April 2016, the famous brothers visited the movie’s set at Pinewood Studios in Iver Heath, England and, according to E! News, William and Harry actually dressed up as Stormtroopers and appeared as extras in one of the upcoming film’s scenes!

“During what was meant to be a lunch break on the official schedule of the royal tour at Pinewood, they actually sneaked off to [the wardrobe department] and were dressed up as Stormtroopers for a scene with [stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Benicio del Toro],” a source told the entertainment news outlet in a story published on Thursday, Nov. 16. The insider explained that one of the royals “was required to pat Daisy’s bottom as he walked past her” in the scene, though the source admitted he was “not sure if [it was] William or Harry.”

During a recent taping of The Hollywood Reporter‘s Actor Roundtable, star John confirmed that William and Harry are making a fun cameo in the flick. “[They were] wrapped in Stormtroopers costumes [and it made for a] strange contrast of a weird family,” he joked, adding, “It’s the best of both worlds for me.” When asked if he was intimidated by working alongside Princess Diana’s sons, John said it was “fun” and “a great experience.” So awesome, right?!

Interestingly, William and Harry are far from the only famous folks to appear as Stormtroopers in Star Wars films. James Bond actor Daniel Craig reportedly made a cameo in 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens and actor Tom Hardy and singer-songwriter Gary Barlow will appear as Stormtroopers in the newest film with Wills and Harry. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit theaters on Friday, Dec. 15!
