Dr. Mehmet Oz is a first-time grandparent!
The doctor's eldest daughter Daphne, who co-hosts the popular cooking talk show The Chew on ABC, gave birth to a baby girl on Feb. 26 in New York City. Their new addition arrived at 10:03 pm and weighs 6 lbs, 13 oz.
The proud grandfather was quick to confirm the happy news via Twitter:

Daphne and her husband John Jovanovic have yet to release the name of their newborn, but the 28-year-old previously told Closer how excited her dad was to become a grandparent.

“Everyone who talks to him calls me to say, ‘Your dad is riding on cloud nine right now!’” she told the mag. “He’s going to be such a great grandfather.”
And the blonde beauty revealed at the time that the duo was trying to decide what his new grandchild would call him. “Right now the front-runners are Lollie for my mom, and Pop for my dad — so it’s Lollie Pop. It’s perfect!” Daphne said.
