Sure, Dr. Oz encourages healthy eating habits on his daytime talk show, but in an interview with Closer Weekly, he now admits that he can’t resist letting his own grandkids enjoy a few sweets sometimes.

"Yesterday we were coming home late, and I gave them chocolates. I thought, eh, it’s caffeine. It’ll wear off," the 56-year-old admitted to Closer.

Luckily, his daughter, The Chew’s Daphne Oz, doesn’t mind that her dad and mom, Lisa, 53, indulge her two tots, Philomena, 3, and 17-month-old Jovan. "The kids are obsessed with my parents! They just have the best time together," Daphne, 31, assured Closer, adding that she’s thrilled they’re "bonding and making memories."

And Dr. Oz wouldn’t want it any other way. "They are unique because they bring youth to our lives," he notes.
