Even celebrities fear getting older. Zoe Saldana, for one, would stop the hands of time because she is “not thrilled” to turn 41 years old this summer.

The actress, whose birthday lands on June 19, sat down with People to discuss the ravages of age — and let’s just say not getting another year older would be OK with her. “You know, my mother said once when I was growing up, she goes, ‘I blinked and I was old,’” the Avatar star recalled. “I was like, ‘Ew. It’s never gonna happen to me.’” Unfortunately for her, no one has located the fountain of youth just yet.

“I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s what that blink meant. That’s what she meant when she said, ‘I blinked,’” she continued, saying that the impact of aging is already taking its toll on her. “My knees hurt,” Zoe joked. “When I squat to pick up my children and I’m there for longer than a minute, I don’t just like bounce off like, ‘Hey!’ If I bounced off I’d pull a charley horse.”

The Guardians of the Galaxy costar added, “My circulation isn’t as sharp. I drink one glass of wine and I hear voices … It’s not OK.” We can certainly relate to all of that, that’s for sure.

While Zoe isn’t happy about getting older, at least she is using these years to spend time with her three kids with husband Marco Perego — twin sons Bowie Perego-Saldana and Cy Perego-Saldana, 4, and son Zen Perego-Saldana, 2. When she’s not doing that, she’s continuing to star in big-time movie franchises, though she recently took some time off from Hollywood to kick back with her family.

“There’s finally a light at the end of the tunnel and a break to be with Marco and the boys,” a friend close to Zoe told Star.

Hang tough, Zoe, we’re all on the same path.
