Nothing can come between Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall‘s love — not even royal protocol! The adorable couple was photographed showing a lot of PDA at the Festival of British Eventing in Stroud, England on Sunday, Aug. 5 and, though it’s technically against royal rules, fans couldn’t get enouch of Zara and Mike’s sweet moments.

During the event, Zara and Mike were caught sharing a few kisses and, at one point, Zara even grabbed her husband’s backside! Thankfully, Mike didn’t seem to mind the show of affection and wrapped his arm around his wife and held her even tighter.

It is normally very rare to see a royal engage in PDA, but (like Zara and Mike) some younger members of the monarchy have recently been a bit more relaxed about kissing and touching at royal events. For example, newlyweds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle love holding hands and stealing kisses in public!

Just a few weeks ago, Harry and Meghan shared a romantic kiss at a polo match on July 10. In a past interview, royal etiquette expert Myka Meier explained that holding hands at events can make a royal seem more “relatable and lovable to the public.”

“While we are much less likely to see [Prince William and Kate Middleton] holding hands in public, we often see Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall holding hands,” Meier previously told People. “It’s all simply a matter of preference for each couple and is also likely dependent on the nature of the event they are attending. A more serious engagement would warrant a more serious level of professionalism, which each royal is sure to follow.”
