Attention all Sex and the City fans! Sarah Jessica Parker just made all our wildest dreams come true after she teased the return of her beloved SATC character Carrie Bradshaw. “My old friend. She is making a brief reappearance. Partnering with a great brand and supporting a cause we all care about. More to come. X, SJ,” the 53-year-old captioned an Instagram video showing her dressed up as Carrie.

In the video that Sarah Jessica shared on Saturday, January 19, the actress can be seen making her way down a Manhattan street in her SATC character’s signature style. While we’re not yet sure of what brand SJP collaborated with to bring Carrie back, the actress’ teaser concludes with the #PourItForward hashtag. Even though her post had nothing to do with a SATC return, fans were happy enough to hold onto the little piece of Carrie that Sarah Jessica shared. “I can’t believe it. My idol, my inspiration, Carrie! I need to watch all Sex and the City again,” one fan commented on the video. “When I heard the SATC theme song I almost cried … so totally miss Carrie and her gal pals,” another person wrote.

Though it seems highly unlikely that SATC will ever return to the small screen, fans of the iconic HBO show were hopeful Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte would return to the big screen in the near future for another Sex and the City movie. But, sadly, SATC 3 has also been scrapped due to reported conflicts among the cast. “It’s over … we’re not doing it,”  Sarah Jessica told Extra in a previous interview. “I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”

Recently, a storyline for the third SATC movie hit the internet and one actress, in particular, was reportedly very unhappy about where her character was headed. According to E! News, part of the movie would have focused on Miranda Hobbes’ (played by Cynthia Nixon) now-14-year-old son, Brady, who has a tendency for sending inappropriate photos to Samantha (played by Kim Cattrall).

As we continue (and will forever) mourn the end of SATC, we look forward to the reemergence of Carrie Bradshaw in Sarah Jessica’s upcoming project — we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve!
