Her time on Grey's Anatomy may be over, but that doesn't mean Sandra Oh has forgotten about the 10 years she spent on the hit medical drama. In fact, in a new interview with People, Sandra candidly revealed that she keeps a Grey's Anatomy prop inside her house to remind her of the time she spent playing Dr. Cristina Yang.
"The best thing I've ever taken from a set is the rug in Owen and Cristina's apartment on Grey’s Anatomy before they broke up," Sandra revealed. "It's in my living room."
Sandra exited Grey's Anatomy four years ago and, at the time, she told The Hollywood Reporter that she feared no longer working with her co-star Kevin McKidd would be "extremely difficult." Kevin still plays Cristina's ex-husband, Owen, on the hit ABC show today.
"We've spent a lot of time together and as we've gone through ups and downs as Cristina and Owen, we've really bonded," Sandra said, adding that she was "very very sad" to leave the series but was "looking forward to going back to different mediums, films, and theater."
Kevin has revealed that he would love to see Sandra return to the medical drama. "I think it would be so much fun. It would open up so much again in the story and mix everything up. Owen, wherever he is in his life, would have incredible stories. She’s just such an amazing actor. I still miss her to this day," he told Entertainment Tonight.
