Reese Witherspoon Joins Family on a Relaxing Stroll Around Malibu — See the Sweet Photos!

Actress Reese Witherspoon enjoys the simple things in life! As summer winds down and the official start to fall is quickly approaching, she took two of her kids on a beautiful stroll around Malibu with husband Jim Toth.

It’s obvious the family didn’t want to be seen because, Reese, Ava Phillippe, and Jim were all hiding behind dark sunglasses. That said, Reese held onto 6-year-old son Tennessee’s hand like a protective mama bear. Seems as though the Big Little Lies star’s other son, 15-year-old Deacon, sat this one out.

However, it’s great to see that Reese and Ava are still closer than ever after the Berkeley student recently turned 20 years old on Monday, September 9.

“Watching your little girl grow into a gorgeous, thoughtful, compassionate, fun-loving young woman defies words,” she gushed about her daughter via Instagram. “It has got to be the greatest gift I could ever receive. I love you @avaphillippe to the moon, around the stars and back! Happy 20th! 🎂✨💖.”

In fact, Reese and Ava are so close that the kiddo also shared a heartwarming post about her mom on Instagram. On Wednesday, July 17, she wrote, “This is the gorgeous woman who taught me about the power of graciousness, love, ambition, and hard work. She inspires me everyday to live with gratitude for the life I’ve been given and compassion for others. I’m thinking about her a little extra today, that’s all. 💐.”

We just can’t get enough of these two! Reese even told Ellen DeGeneres on the May 20 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that it was hard for her when Ava left for college.

“My daughter’s finishing her first year of college,” she explained at the time. “It’s weird when your children go away to college. It’s hard. I never imagined how it felt for my mom. I might have gone into her empty room, laid down on her bed and cried when she went to college.”

At least Ava occasionally comes back home every now and then to pay her mom and Jim a visit. She must make them so proud and we can’t wait to see all of the great things Ava will do once she graduates from school!
