Quite the surprise! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently stunned royal fans when they made an unannounced appearance at Kensington Palace in order to be part of a judging panel for the Endeavor Fund Awards.

According to Hello! magazine, the Duke, 34, and Duchess, 37, of Sussex turned heads on Wednesday, January 23 when they showed up to help honor injured servicemen and women. The Endeavor Fund — which was created in 2012 by the Royal Foundation and is Harry and Meghan’s charity with their pals Prince William and Kate Middleton — raises money for “sporting and adventure challenges” for veterans who were injured in the line of duty. Last year, Harry and Meghan attended this event in London and it was the very first awards ceremony they showed up to as a couple.

It’s very clear that the royal couple is all about giving back — so much so that instead of asking for presents for their wedding that took place on May 19, 2018, they alternatively asked for charity donations. “Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle are incredibly grateful for the goodwill they have received since their engagement, and have asked that anyone who might wish to mark the occasion of their wedding considers giving to charity, instead of sending a gift,” a tweet sent out last April by Kensington Palace read.

The messaged continued, “The couple have personally chosen seven charities which represent a range of issues that they are passionate about, including sport for social change, women’s empowerment, conservation, the environment, homelessness, HIV and the Armed Forces.”

We should all expect more charitable contributions from the pair, especially from the former Suits actress, who, on January 10, became the patron of four organizations very important to her that focus on the “arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare.”
