Going the extra mile! As we inch closer and closer to Meghan Markle giving birth to her first baby with Prince Harry, she is taking all the steps necessary to ensure that this bundle of joy is fully taken care of.
A friend tells People that Meghan’s “California roots” have been coming through during the pregnancy. This shouldn’t come as a surprise as Meghan — who was born and raised in Los Angeles — ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig for three years before shutting it down upon becoming Duchess of Sussex.
“She’s being mindful of what she puts in her body and on her skin and even her at-home cleaning supplies,” the friend said, explaining more about how Meghan is paying extra attention ahead of her baby’s impending arrival. “She’s hyperaware of what she’s using. She’s looking for natural things.”
This outlook also applies to what the Suits star is putting into her body, not just on it. Plus, her little one will benefit when he or she gets here.
“She eats cleaner, and she’ll probably make her own baby food,” the friend continued. They added: “It’s going to be clean living for this baby.”
We already knew that Meghan and Harry’s child was going to be raised differently than how Prince William and Kate Middleton are raising their three kiddos — even down to the last name. This baby will get to discover life for themselves and there’s a good chance they’re already a feminist, too.
In the meantime, Meghan is planning to make the most of maternity leave and Harry is even reportedly taking a paternity leave to be the “modern dad.” Our fingers are crossed for the parents-to-be as they are in the middle of a reportedly stressful move and their big day is “nearly there” for them.
