Now that she’s just weeks away from welcoming royal baby No. 1 with husband Prince Harry, Meghan Markle is ready to sit back and enjoy her maternity leave before becoming a first-time mom. “Meghan’s making the most of her maternity leave and Harry’s easing up on his royal duties, too,” a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex exclusively told Closer Weekly. “That means making the most of their cozy nights in with fewer interruptions.”

“They’re enjoying romantic dinners, movie nights and couple’s game nights with their close circle of friends. They’re also getting ready to move into their new digs at Frogmore House [at Windsor Castle]. The renovations are almost complete and they can’t wait to settle into their new home before the baby arrives [in late April or early May],” the insider continued.

Though we’re not totally sure exactly how much time Meghan, 37, will take off from her royal duties following Baby Sussex’s birth, her sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, stepped away from the spotlight for about six months after welcoming each of her three kids, Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 11 months.

During a past interview, another source exclusively told Closer Weekly that Meg and Harry, 34, are determined “to do everything right” with their first baby when he or she arrives this spring. “They started reading up on this as soon as they found out they were expecting. They want to do everything right,” the insider said.

The source also shared that Meghan and Harry are changing the royal rules again when it comes to their first child. “They are going to be even more hands-on than [Prince] William and Kate and that’s saying something! They want to build up their children’s self-confidence by letting them speak their minds and gently correcting when they misbehave,” the insider told Closer. We can’t wait until Baby Sussex joins the royal family in just a few weeks!
